After I told Rick’s old boss, I had a call with the executive team.
They’d been a pretty “old school” face-to-face sales company and were struggling now to transition into something more digital and online.
They could see exactly how this idea would fundamentally transform their sales business in order to increase sales during the lockdown.
They said it was so powerful they wanted to pay me for my idea.
They mentioned a 4-figure payment…
Which at first sounded impossible.
I’d never even SEEN a 4-figure check before.
But as I thought about how much it would be worth to THEM…
It made way more sense.
There was also some programming needed to make my system work.
And they wanted to pay me another couple thousand dollars to do that.
I told them I needed 24 hours to think about it, which they agreed to.
That night, I listened to Rajan’s karma switch again with all of that information floating around inside my head.
I just surrendered and relaxed into the audio, then went to bed.
In the morning I woke up with a very clear plan.
Here’s what I proposed to the company:
First, I asked them to pay me double for my idea: $15,000, instead of $7,500.
They agreed to it on the spot.
Then I told them that I would create the integration program they needed, and would license it to them for $12,000 a month.
Knowing this system would help them make millions, I knew it would be a slam dunk for them to say “yes”, which they did.
I sent them an invoice for $27,000 when we got off the call, and it was paid in full the next day.
I hired two of my friends from college to help me with the design and programming…
They were so happy for the work!
Within a few months, I had licensed my software integration to several other companies…
And by the time 2021 rolled around, revenue had hit six-figures a month…
